EICR testing and compliance

The report, the remedials and the paperwork.

An EICR tells you whether an installation is safe to keep using and what needs fixing. Landlords need one every five years, businesses need one to satisfy insurers and the Electricity at Work Regulations, and buyers want one before completing. We test, report and quote the remedials in one visit.

What's included

What we do.

What the codes mean

C1, C2, C3 and FI, in plain English.

C1 means danger present and we make it safe on the day. C2 means potentially dangerous and must be fixed for the report to be satisfactory. C3 is a recommendation only. FI means further investigation is needed. We explain every observation on the report and never pad a remedial quote with C3 items.

Good to know

Common questions.

How long does an EICR take?

A typical three-bedroom house is two to three hours. Larger commercial premises are surveyed first so we can quote the time accurately.

Does the power need to go off?

Briefly, circuit by circuit. For commercial premises we arrange it around your working day.

Is the remedial work included in the EICR price?

No. The report is a fixed price and any remedials are quoted separately so you can decide.
