Battery storage
Store it, use it when it's expensive.
Add a battery to the solar you already have, or run one on a cheap overnight tariff without panels at all. Our headline unit is the Tesla Powerwall 3, installed from £7,500.
Three situations
Which one is you?
Add to existing solar
Most solar systems export what they don’t use in the day. A battery keeps it for the evening. Powerwall 3 couples to any existing inverter, or your panels can move onto its built-in one.
Battery without solar
Charge from the grid overnight at a quarter of the daytime rate and run the house on it. Pays back on a smart tariff, and adds backup in a power cut.
Powerwall 2 upgrade
Powerwall 2 is discontinued. We service the ones out there and, when you want more capacity or backup, add a Powerwall 3 alongside or replace outright.

Why Powerwall 3
One unit, 13.5 kWh, backup built in.
Ten-year warranty with unlimited cycles, an app that learns your tariff, and expansion packs when you need more. We fit SolarEdge and Fox ESS batteries too where they suit the existing inverter better, and we'll tell you which.
Powerwall 3 in detailGood to know
Battery questions.
What size battery do I need?
For most homes 10 to 15 kWh covers the evening and overnight. A Powerwall 3 is 13.5 kWh and takes expansion packs if you later add an EV or heat pump.
Does a battery need planning permission?
No. Batteries are fitted in a garage, utility room or on an outside wall and do not need planning permission.
Will it work in a power cut?
With a Backup Gateway, yes. Powerwall switches over automatically and, paired with solar, keeps recharging during the day.
