As a UK-based steel fabricator specialising in large-scale modular lift components for offshore and marine-grade applications, Modulift consumes approximately a quarter of a million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. Their primary goal was to achieve a strong return on investment and significantly reduce their environmental footprint by offsetting their substantial energy usage.

Vanadium Technologies leveraged advanced drone technology to survey the extensive commercial premises, enabling precise mapping of the roof to the centimetre for optimal panel placement and containment. The design team meticulously created CAD drawings, ensuring a visually appealing, functional, and reliable system. The installation features 388 large 650W solar panels, managed by two 100 kW SolarEdge three-phase energy managers. SolarEdge was chosen for its robust safety features, including mag shaft switches for strings and AC shut-off for the inverters, providing peace of mind for the high-level installation in a busy working environment.

The project's next phase involves the physical installation of the panels, which will complete a high-performance system designed to deliver substantial savings and a significant reduction in carbon emissions for Modulift.
